Following the recent cancellation of Lowe's program, ‘The Grinder’ earlier this month after only one season, a source informed Entertainment Tonight that the actor's team is apparently in talks with live producers to have Lowe sign up with Ripa as co-host for the morning talk show. The 52-year-old actor is in the running to co-host with Kelly Ripa. He was considered as a co-host in 2012 to replace Regis Philbin. Lowe may have been playing shy but, according to reports, his reps have been in talks with ABC. Last time it took a year to choose Michael Strahan. He merely left the program this month after his dramatic move to ‘Good Morning America’.
Rob additionally stated he's at a good place in his life to take on the position if it's offered to him. He stated, “I hosted it with Kelly and had the time of my life. I love her… I love being able to talk to an audience every morning like that and just being fun, counter-punching, being silly, and talking about cool stuff.”
